Micro Grids

The micro grid is localized interconnected electrical network that allows various Distributed Energy Resources (DER) i.e. loads & resources including wind & solar providing ability for end users to function whether they are connected to the grid or separate from electric grid. The modern micro grids include multiple generation/ storage resources that continuously provide energy for a specific application.

A micro grid can be connected to a larger grid or operate independently without the need for main grid. A micro grid ranges in size from 2-3 kW to over 100 MW. A Micro grid network can integrate many components and technologies like solar, wind, storage devices etc. It incorporates power plants capable of meeting local demand and feeding the surplus energy back to main grid. This can serve wide variety of consumers like residential, commercial, industrial and offices. .

Infra Energy provides consultancy services, in cooperation with partner component suppliers and engineering firms, in identifying and analyzing micro grid needs, technical & commercial feasibility, drivers, functional and SCADA requirements, recommended modes of operation and switching sequences, cost-benefit analysis for minimized LCOE lower than grid tariffs.
